Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 October 2026

By using Masar you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The service

Masar is a tool that helps bus drivers organize routes and trips, and helps parents and employees follow the bus and get notifications. Masar does not provide the transport itself. Transport is an arrangement between you and the driver directly.

Your account

• Your details must be accurate, and you are responsible for keeping your password safe.

• A parent is responsible for the details of the children they add, and confirms they have the right to add them.

Driver responsibility

• The driver is responsible for the riders' safety, their license and vehicle insurance, and following Bahrain's traffic and transport rules.

• The app only helps; it does not replace attention. For example, the driver must personally check the bus is empty before ending a trip.

• Only use your phone while driving in a safe and legally allowed way.

Private trips

• Drivers can list private trips (such as shopping trips, Umrah or airport drop-offs) inside Bahrain or to other GCC countries, Jordan and Iraq, and families request the whole bus for the day they want.

• Masar only shows the listing and passes on the request. The agreement, the payment and the trip itself are between the family and the driver directly.

• The driver is responsible for all permits and licences needed to carry passengers, including crossing the causeway and entering other countries, and for the price and details in the listing.

• We may hide any listing that breaks these terms or is misleading, without notice.

Company accounts

• A transport company can have a company account on Masar to add its drivers, manage its routes, and see the riders and trips on its routes from a dashboard.

• The company is responsible for its drivers, their licences, transport permits and vehicle insurance, and for them following these terms and the law.

• The company is responsible for using parents' and riders' data lawfully, only to organize the transport and keep riders safe, and for not sharing it with anyone unrelated.

• Masar only provides the tool and is not a party to the agreement between the company and parents, or between the company and its drivers.

• The company's plan (number of routes, price and period) is agreed directly between the company and Masar, not through the plans shown in the app.

• We may suspend a company account that breaks these terms or misuses data.

Notifications and location

We do our best to make notifications and the bus location accurate and on time, but they can be late or not arrive because of the internet, the phone or its settings. Don't rely on them alone for safety.

Subscription

The app is free for parents and employees. Drivers pay a subscription by plan, with a 30-day free trial. Prices and plans are shown in the app and may change; we will tell you before any change.

Acceptable use

• Don't abuse anyone or write abusive or false reviews.

• Only share an invite code with people who actually ride that route.

• Don't try to reach other people's data or disrupt the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Masar is not liable for any harm arising from the transport service itself, or from late notifications or inaccurate locations.

General

We may change these terms; we will tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Contact: support@masarapp.net.
